Allister Caine #1

In a similar vein to my recent posting of Project Wallace, here is where I am at with my monochrome-blue AllisterCaine. As this description would suggest, the idea is to stick to blue-tints with all the colours, as if you are looking at him in that semi-darkness of dusk.

Sorry that the pics aren't of a brilliant standard but, hopefully, you get the idea.

    Looks like you use a similar technique to me...black undercoat then drybrushing with grey/white to bring out detail before you start painting. Correct?

    Depends on the mini daniel. I very often nowadays use a white undercoat, although this mini, and the prior Wallace one, lent themselves to a black one (and were started at a point when I fluctuated much more between them).

    I very rarely drybrush though. You are probably just picking up on the fact that these were started some time ago and the black undercoat is wearing a bit, plus they were taken in a strange light.
